Junior Kindergarten & Kindergarten

We believe that Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten are the levels at which students begin to more fully learn the answer to the question “what does it mean to love and fear God and my parents?” In the classical world, this is called piety. Students should learn to love God, their parents, and their neighbors. This consists of learning to cultivate kindness, gentleness, honesty, patience, and self-control.

Our Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten class is focused on learning the basic verbal and numerical skills they will need to begin English and numerical literacy. The curriculum we use for the Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten students is the Memoria Press Junior Kindergarten curriculum, the Memoria Press Kindergarten First Start Reading Program, and the Math-U-See Primer.
We recognize that not all Junior Kindergarten students are ready for a full five day program. That is why we offer a five day program for Junior Kindergarten and Kindergarten and three day program (Wednesday through Friday) for Junior Kindergarten students who are not yet ready for a full school week.
